It was a busy year for new business in Trail as 43 new business licences were handed out.
The city of Trail released their latest bylaw enforcement report for December, which also shows the year-end numbers.
Bylaw services received 396 complaints in 2023, up from 267 the year prior.
Infractions observed were down, however. it went from 284 down to 132.
Complaints and infractions investigated and resolved were also down from 544 in 2022 compared to 455 last year.
Traffic bylaw violations issued by bylaw officers were up from 97 the year prior to 305.
However, issued traffic bylaw violations were down overall going from 5750 to 4871.
