RDCK improves online registration services

The Regional District of Central Kootenay has a new online registration service. General Manager of Community Services, Joe Chirico, says they were required to switch the software to a new provider which should bring improvements for users. “The old registration system online was a little bit clunky and not very smooth. This new registration system is much better and easier to navigate.”

He says unfortunately, there were a few glitches, especially for Nelson residents. But, programs are now open for registration and he says it’s been busy. “They flocked to it on August 30, which was our first day of registration, and over 400 residents registered online.”

Chirico explains a few of the features provided through the online service. “You can actually buy memberships, register into swimming lessons, into many different types of programs, including aerobics classes, including seeing what our facility schedule availability is.”

It applies to residents throughout the RDCK, including Castlegar, Creston, Nelson, Salmo, and the Slocan Valley.
