Aces sweep doubleheader in Cranbrook

The West Kootenay Aces powered through a dominant weekend in Cranbrook, going undefeated while piling up 38 runs in a doubleheader against the Calgary City Royals and Cranbrook Bandits.

The Aces opened with a decisive 20-2 win over Calgary. Pangburn led the way on the mound, allowing just one hit and no earned runs while striking out seven without a walk.

The second game proved far tighter, with the Aces edging the Bandits 18-17 on Sunday. Jude Langford delivered a perfect performance at the plate, collecting three hits in three at-bats to help secure the win.

The Aces now turn their attention to their first tournament of the season, set for the May long weekend in Kalispell, Montana.
