Kalesnikoff celebrates opening of new mass timber head office in Castlegar

Kalesnikoff has celebrated the opening of its new head office on Orchard Avenue in Castlegar, showcasing the company’s own mass timber and modular wood products.

The two-storey building, located behind the company’s modular manufacturing facility, was designed and constructed using Kalesnikoff products made from locally sourced wood.

The new office brings several of the company’s strategic support teams together under one roof for the first time.

The opening celebration included a ribbon-cutting ceremony, tours of the building and a special tribute to Ken Kalesnikoff, who is marking 50 years with the company.

Company president and CEO Chris Kalesnikoff, chief financial and strategic services officer Krystle Seed and principal Ken Kalesnikoff were among those taking part in the celebration alongside family members.

A centrepiece of the new building is a restored 1948 International KB-7 truck, originally purchased by Kalesnikoff and later reacquired and restored.

The antique truck, now on display near the building’s lobby, served as the backdrop for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The new head office showcases the company’s mass timber and modular construction products while providing a shared workspace for its support teams.
