Trail RCMP say a man who tried to take off from them didn’t get very far.
Police say Sunday at 5 p.m. an officer noticed a 35-year-old man in the 800 block of Farwell Street who was wanted on a warrant.
The officer told the man he was under arrest. He tried to run but the officer tackled him and held him until two more officers arrived.
Police searched the man and found 208 grams of a liquid suspected to be a drug, prescription pills, 1.3 grams of suspected meth, an electronic weigh scale, cell phone, and $3,355 cash.
The man was released after a brief virtual appearance before a judge. Police say they’ll be asking for charges against the man.
