Kootenay Boundary Regional Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire in the early morning hours. The call was received at 2:46 AM and crews arrived on scene at 3:00AM to 19 Evergreen Avenue in Fruitvale. 17 firefighters responded and had the fire under control in an hour’s time.
There were no injuries, but there was significant damage to the structure. The cause is not considered suspicious.
