Incumbent Diane Langman runs for Warfield mayor

Daine Langman has been Warfield’s mayor for the past 18 months and she’s running for the position again.

She says her top priority is securing a feasible water source as the community will be disconnected from their current source with Teck in 2025.

“My council and I successfully applied for a grant in 2017 to look at all the feasible options for our village and we’re currently working through this report along with our infrastructure committee. I’d like to continue to lead my team through these very important discussions and further to that be able to bring this study forward to our community.”

Langman began her first term as councillor four years ago. She replaced Ted Pahl as mayor when he left for a job in Nova Scotia. She says she’s ready to take on the role for another four years.

“As we face large infrastructure issues, I will work hard on behalf of our community to find the most feasible options available and to ensure that Warfield remains a viable place to live, work, and grow.”
