Castlegar Councillor Bruno Tassone running for mayor

Castlegar City Councillor Bruno Tassone is running for Mayor on October 20.  He says his three main priorities are fiscal responsibility, asset management, and an open door policy.

Tassone highlights his past experience working for the City as a benefit. “My experience in the last 37 years working with the City on infrastructure I think is a huge asset for the city. I know the system well and I think in the next four or five years we need to make a long term plan.”

He explains what he means by open door policy: “Have an open door policy so that the people themselves have total access to the mayor and have a face to face talk.”

Councillor Tassone says one of the reasons he’s running is it’s time for a change. “The two incumbents that are running for the mayoral race have been there for a long time. Not to say that they haven’t done a wonderful job, which I think they have, it’s just time for a change.”

He’ll be running against currently city councillor Deb McIntosh and incumbent Lawrence Chernoff.
