A local company is looking at providing transit service in the area once Greyhound ends its operations this fall. Silver City Stage Lines in Trail has applied to the Passenger Transportation Board to operate a route between Nelson and Kelowna.
The application states a Mercedes Benz 12 passenger Sprinter bus will be used on a reservation model through their website only. It would service Nelson, Castlegar, Trail, Grand Forks, Rock Creek and other communities in the Boundary.
