In the BCHL the Trail Smoke Eaters limped into the the holiday break with a pair of losses over the weekend.
Friday at home they lost 7-3 to the Nanaimo Clippers.
Saturday they fell 5-2 in Vernon to the Vipers.
Trail has won once in December in seven tries.
