Reduced cut doesn’t go far enough: Valhalla director

A Valhalla Wilderness Society director says a reduced cut for the Arrow timber license area is a good step.

But Craig Pettitt doesn’t feel it goes far enough.

Pettitt says he remains concerned not enough is being done to protect mountain caribou habitat.

The chief forester has decided to drop the cut from 513,000 cubic meters per year to 500,000.

Pettitt says he doesn’t have a specific number that he would have preferred.
