A bee inspector for the Kootenays has asked the City Of Trail to change its stance on beekeeping.
There is a bylaw in place which prevents keeping bees in the Silver City.
Axel Krause says his job is to make sure that bees are being looked after properly in communities which allow residents to keep them.
Beekeeping is also prohibited in Castlegar.
