The Columbia Basin Trust has announced its recipients of social grants.
The Kootenay-Columbia School District was revealed as one of the benefactors.
SD20 secretary-treasurer Natalie Verigin says they’ll get just under $25,000.
They’ll also use the funds to enhance breakfast programs to ensure no students are coming to school hungry.
The CBT handed out nearly $1 million in social grants for it’s 2016 fall intake.
