Jamie Ingram elected mayor of Slocan

Former Slocan mayor Jamie Ingram has his old job back.

Ingram received 106 votes, which was 53 per cent. Former councillor Joel Pelletier had 75 and former village administrator Eunice Ludlow had 16.

Ingram previously served as mayor from 1996 to 1999. Incumbent mayor Jessica Lunn did not seek re-election after 12 years. Nor did any of the incumbent councillors.

The council will be composed of former councillor Dave Fredrickson, plus newcomers Delaine Hird, Katie Strong (who is Ingram’s daughter), and Brendan Murray-Nellis.

Missing the cut were Therin Rhaintre, Alex Cendese, Beth Campbell, and Darcy Lindsay.
