Village of Slocan

Jessica Lunn announced this week that she will not seek re-election this fall after almost 12 years as mayor of Slocan and six years as a councillor before that. In an interview, she also revealed that council will see a big turnover because at least three of the four councillors will not seek re-election either.

Water conservation measures are now in effect in the Village of Slocan.  The Village said the measures, which came into affect on May 8, permit daily lawn sprinkling between the hours of 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. and again between 6 p.m. and 8p.m.
