Two seats on the Arrow Lakes school board will be contested in elections this fall, unlike in 2022 when the entire board was elected by acclamation. While nominations closed this afternoon, seven people were seeking five seats.
Three of them are unopposed: incumbent Rhonda Farrell in the east zone, and Rebecca Phillips and incumbent Amanda Murphy as at-large trustees.
In the south zone, former trustee Quinn DeCourcy will run against incumbent Danya Simon. In the central zone, incumbent Steve Gascon will be challenged by Frances Swan.
General voting day is Oct. 17.
