Meet Hector, our Summit Radio Pet of the Week from the BC SPCA West Kootenay Branch in Castlegar!

Hector is a handsome 7-year-old gentleman with a big build and an even bigger heart. This sweet, shy boy may take a little time to settle into new surroundings, but once he feels safe and comfortable, his gentle and loving nature truly shines.

Hector would do best in a calm, patient home  where he can adjust at his own pace and enjoy plenty of cozy spots for lounging and relaxing. He enjoys quiet companionship and would love a family who understands that shy cats blossom beautifully with kindness, routine, and reassurance.

As a larger cat, Hector would benefit from regular exercise and enrichment to help keep him happy and healthy. Interactive play sessions with wand toys, puzzle feeders, balls, cat tunnels, and feather teasers are a wonderful way to build his confidence while keeping him active and engaged. He’s curious about the world around him and would enjoy having lots of intriguing toys and activities to explore.
