No one was hurt when a vehicle trying to pull another from a mud pit off Highway 22 overheated and ignited.
Kootenay Boundary Regional Fire and Rescue says it responded at 7:22 p.m. on Wednesday to the fire near the ponds below Oasis. They fire was out within five minutes.
It was the second vehicle fire in as many days in our region.
Late Tuesday, Tarrys Fire and Rescue put out a burning car at Lazaroff Road near the Glade Esso. Police are investigating the cause.
