Not all on Nelson city council are supportive of the large medical clinic being proposed for the corner residential lots across from the Kootenay Lake Hospital.
Donna MacDonald says the re-zone application is for an institutional health care site but it’s a stretch to call it that with space being rented to doctors along with a coffee shop and dispensary.
Council narrowly passed first reading of the re-zone change that could see the two storey clinic built on the three residential lots.
A public hearing is among the next part of the approval process.
