Don’t expect an overwhelming “yes” in the ratification vote today on the tentative BC teachers’ contract.
That’s the message from Paul Boscariol the President of the Nelson and District Teachers Association.
He says the deal had some “wins” but the wage package is the biggest disappointment.
He adds teachers could have stayed on strike another two weeks but government may have legislated them back.
Boscariol says the way the $105 million “grievance fund” that’s to be distributed among teachers is still a big unknown.
