Mike Walsh is a current Village Councillor and former mayor in Montrose, running for mayor again on October 20.
He lists a few of the things he wants to tackle including the old pool site. “It’s called the C-Sert building and they kept part of the washrooms, the change rooms there, and we had that happening for couple years and since then it’s just basically just been storage. I’d like to see that getting developed.”
More community involvement is another priority he mentions. “More involvement between the community and council and some changes made. We have policies within the Village of Montrose that even we on council aren’t following. So if were’ not going to follow the policies that we put in place, then maybe we should revisit the policies and procedures.”
Walsh says he’s lived in the community his entire life and has retired within the pas few years.
