Trail RCMP say the Royal Theatre was recently broken into. It happened on September 5 at roughly 1:20am. Sergeant Mike Wicentowich says a number of items were stolen worth about $5,000. “Suspects made off with most of the items from the concession. One of the flat screen TVS that was located inside the theatre and laptop computer that was located inside the office.”
Sergeant Wicentowich says they did recover some tools used to break into the building and are investigating with assistance from Nelson RCMP Forensic Identification Services.
Anyone with information about the crime or who witnessed suspicious activity in the area is asked to call Trail RCMP.
