A search warrant was executed on Coleman Street in Trail last week under the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act. The Trail and Castlegar Joint Crime Reduction Unit says a number of drugs were seized including Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, Cocaine and Heroin. Prohibited weapons and a firearm were also found.
The search was executed on August 9 around 6:00pm with the Trail General Investigation Section, and General Duty police officers in attendance as well.
A 48 year old male and a 47 year old female were arrested and taken into custody. The male appears today in Castlegar provincial court and the female will make her first appearance in Rossland provincial court on September 13.
RCMP says this is another successful investigation into drug traffickers in a recent series of investigation by the Trail and Castlegar Joint Crime Reduction Unit. The Trail Detachment encourages the public to continue to report suspicious activity.
