Labour force stats show decrease in unemployment rate

The Unemployment Rate in the Kootenays is down year over year for the month of June. It was 4.9 per cent last month – down from 7.5 per cent in June 2017. The labour force decreased as well from roughly 78,000 people last year to 75,000 this past month. Of those, roughly 71,200 were employed with 3700 unemployed.
