Three firefighters from Trail were able to assist with a river rescue earlier this evening.
Kootenay Boundary Regional Fire & Rescue received a call shortly after 5:30 pm regarding a person trying to enter the river. The person was reported as to be trying to harm themselves.
Crews searched the shoreline and found the person on the Trail Bridge. The patient was safely brought into RCMP custody just before 6:00 pm.
