Warfield’s planned conversion to LED streetlights is on hold for now.
Mayor Diane Langman says this is due to Fortis BC waiting to hear from the BC Utilities commission about changing its rate structure.
Langman expects to hear word from Fortis BC as soon as they hear a decision regarding their proposed rate structure shift.
She adds Fortis has been toying with some newer model LED streetlights in Kelowna which could be used in Warfield.
