RCMP release more details regarding Genelle homicide

The RCMP Southeast District Major Crime Unit has confirmed the identity of the remains found in the trunk of a burnt out vehicle left abandoned and ablaze on Hwy 22, Sunday January 14, 2018.

Following the completion of a forensic examination of the remains found in a vehicle near Trail, BC, the RCMP Southeast District Major Crime Unit and Trail and Greater District RCMP have confirmed the identity of the remains as those of 38 year-old Jordan Workman of Castlegar, B.C.

RCMP investigators in conjunction with the BC Coroners Service have also determined that Workman’s death was a homicide.

The current findings indicate that this incident involves a targeted victim and does not reflect any increased safety risks to the public, stated Cpl Dan Moskaluk.

Police are continue to seek public assistance with this investigation.
