A local cannabis consultant is pleased with the provincial government’s initial plans for regulating recreational pot sales.
Jeff Thompson of Green Cannabis Consulting in Trail and Castlegar says using the BC Liquor Distribution Branch for wholesale purchases is a great idea.
He says keeping the legal age at 19 is also a good plan as it’s consistent with BC’s minimum age for tobacco and alcohol sales.
Thompson isn’t sure how prices will work yet but he anticipates the government will try to keep them as low as possible to curb the black market.
