Water upgrades upcoming for Rossland school

Rossland’s Ecole des Sept-sommets is one of six schools across the province that will have access to healthier water.

The upgrade comes from the BC government’s school enhancement program.

The province is funding upgrades worth $750,000 due to lead being found in a number of water sources in BC schools.

Upgrades are scheduled to finish by March 31 next year.

The goal of the program is to ensure students have access to clean drinking water.

The initiative is in addition to $6.5 million invested in the last year for school districts to reduce lead levels.
