The City of Castlegar has taken another step towards finalizing a new rate structure for sewer and water.
Chief administrator Chris Barlow and finance director Lois Hunter made a lengthy presentation to council yesterday identifying some concerns from residents and potential solutions.
Some residents had concerns about large increases in their summer bills as they may use more than 30 cubic meters of water.
The city is considering a one year cap for high users at 100 cubic meters in the summer to help them adjust to the new rate structure.
