A public hearing is being held this afternoon in Slocan on reducing the allowed uses of the former mill site.
Mayor Jessica Lunn explains what the village is trying to do.
Lunn says the changes would minimize the risk of warehouses being built on the site and increase the likelihood of a public process for any future use.
The 20-acre waterfront millsite has been for sale for a few years.
