No further armed robberies charges …yet

The earliest we’ll see any new charges brought in the local armed robberies case is the end of the month.

This from the prosecution in the matter of Andrew Stevenson and his partner Krista Kalmikoff.

Last month we heard that charges related to up to four other armed robberies in our area may be brought by today but the crown says there is too much information to go through and they’re not ready.

Stevenson and Kalmikoff already face a list of charges related to the armed robberies of the Nelson Credit Union and Kootenay Currency Exchange in April.

They’re also charged with B&E’s at Castlegar pharmacies.

Kalmikoff is out on bail while Stevenson remains in custody.
