Emcon has conducted an inspection of the area above Hway 3 where a tree fell Thursday and tumbled directly into a passing car killing the driver.
Operations manager rick wright says their superintendent has taken a look around and there are no other unstable trees there.
He’s assuring any nervous motorists that it’s safe to drive past that section.
He says this tree came from quite a way up – more than 100-metres – and beyond the scope of their routine checks.
