Live reading from local poet upcoming at Kootenay Gallery

The Kootenay Gallery is welcoming a distinguished guest next week.

Curator Maggie Shirley is thrilled that local Griffin Prize winning poet Jordan Abel will perform a special reading.

‘Injun’ looks into the western genre’s use of the derogatory term between 1840 and 1950.

The event is free and starts at 7:00 pm August 24th.
