Zellstoff Celgar in Castlegar is preparing for its annual major maintenance shutdown.
The process begins Saturday and will take about 36 hours to fully halt the pulp mill.
Health and safety manager Mark Goebel says there will be lots of extra traffic.
Operations at the mill are expected to restart June 11.
