Fence won’t be built at Pople Park

Residents near Pople Park in Trail want the city to erect a fence around the playing field.

But City Councilor Lisa Pasin says it won’t be built this year because it’s not in the budget.

Pasin says the city will ask coaches and teams that use the field for minor sports to warm up and practice in other areas of the park.

She adds some nearby trees were removed which previously acted as barriers for residents.
