A local rural politician is pleased with the BC Government’s newly announced rural dividend.
The $75 million is geared at helping smaller communities transition their economies.

Binks says there are a number of projects in the Creston Valley that could benefit from the financial boost including the completion of the Arrow Creek Water line.
The eligibility criteria for the funding is expected to be finalized early 2016 with $25 million per year available for the first two years
It’s meant for communities with a population of less than 25, 000.
