City of Trail buys downtown home

While it hasn’t disclosed any specific plans for the property, the City of Trail has bought a small home at 955 Portland Avenue.

According to a Facebook video posted by city councillor Nick Cashol, the city paid $141,000 for 955 Portland Avenue. It had been listed for $164,000.

“Because of its downtown location, future site development could be of significant benefit to the city,” Cashol said.

The 776-square foot home is across the alley from the Greater Trail Community Centre. BC Assessment indicates it was built in 1916.
