Salmo Post Office service reduction considered

More concern is being raised about possible local reduction in service at Canada Post.

MP Alex Atamanenko says he’s been informed the crown corporation is considering closing on Saturdays in Salmo.

That will have a negative impact on the community.


Atamanenko has written to minister responsible Lisa Raitt calling for her to intervene or at least tell Canada Post to have meaningful public consultation with local stakeholders.

Canada Post is making changes to save costs as letter demand declines.
