Avalanche Hazard, Control Sees Kootenay, Paulson Passes Closed

The Kootenay Pass is closed in both directions between the avalanche gates for avalanche deposit removal.

Its expected to take until 9am and the detour is via the Balfour Ferry.

The Paulson Pass will be closed from 10am until 1pm for avalanche control.

Updates on both passes are expected at 9am.
