Province pledges funding to BC ground SAR

A welcome injection of funding for ground search and rescue crews across the province.

The BC Government will provide a one-off boost of $10 million.

Armstrong says he is unsure exactly how much of that money will come to the Nelson branch.

He says the first step will be to develop a solid plan and to look at a needs assessment with partnering agencies to see how the funds can best impact all the 80 ground SAR crews in BC.
