Earth Day event in Castlegar Tuesday

The second popular environmental initiative in less than a month takes on more meaning.

This from Castlegar Councillor Kevin Chernoff as the City’s Kinsmen Park will host an Earth Day Community Celebration from 10AM-2PM Tuesday put on by the Columbia Power Corporation.

Chernoff says today is different than March’s Earth Hour.

There will be informational and interactive displays on environmental awareness and stewardship at the event.

Residents will also be able to drop off over 300 different electronic products to be recycled properly.
