The Slocan Ramblers

March 29 @ 9:30 pm

$24 – $26

The Slocan Ramblers bring their foot stompin’ bluegrass to The Bailey Theatre on Friday, March 29 at 7:30 pm, as the last in this season’s Trail & District Arts Council’s E2: Experiments in Entertainment series.
Rooted in tradition, fearlessly creative and possessing a bold, dynamic sound, The Slocans, who come from Toronto, have become a leading light of today’s roots music scene. With a reputation for energetic live shows, impeccable musicianship and an uncanny ability to convert anyone within earshot into a lifelong fan, the band has been winning over audiences across the country.
Juno Award Nominees in 2019 for their album “Queen City Jubilee” in the Traditional Roots Album of the Year category, The Slocans showcase their unique blend of bluegrass, old-time and folk with deep song-writing, lightning fast instrumentals and sawdust-thick vocals. Producer Chris Coole says: “What really impressed …, was that, while they can pull off the precision and virtuosity that is at the backbone of bluegrass, they understand the power of the fragile moment in music.”
The Slocan Ramblers feature a tight crew of Frank Evans on Banjo, Adrian Gross on Mandolin, Darryl Poulsen on Guitar, and Alastair Whitehead on Bass, whose trademark raucous energy, and music without pretension, will have you dancing in your seat.
Tickets for the show are $24 in advance or $26 at the door.
Tickets at the Box Office Monday to Friday from 12-4 pm at 1501 Cedar Avenue in Trail, by phone at 250-368-9669, or online at thebailey.ca.
