The “Three T’s” of back country travel

Remember the “Three T’s ” before you head into the back country.

That’s the focus of the Adventuresmart search and rescue training program.

Co-ordinator Sandra Riches has just conducted a train the trainer course with Nelson SAR and the LVR Atlas Program.

The first T is Trip Planning.

The other t’s are Training and Taking essentials.

Riches says local volunteer search and rescue teams are very good at their job but everyone has the responsibilty to be properly prepared.
