Stolen bike used in armed robbery found

Nelson police say the discovery of the stolen green bicycle used in the armed robbery earlier this month is of benefit to their investigation.

Holt wouldn’t say exactly where the bike was found but he said it was hidden close to the currency exchange which was robbed at gunpoint. The suspect fired a shotgun but no one was hurt.

Police can not say if the bicycle was used to get to an awaiting vehicle.

RCMP say a bike has been used before in the rash of recent armed robberies.
