Edgewood forest fuel project almost finished

A forest fire fuel management project on the Arrow Lakes is nearing completion.

The 22-hectare prescribed burn near Edgewood is expected to be finished by the end of the month.

Regional district emergency co-ordinator Noreen Clayton says lots of other areas could use similar work.

Funding for the Edgewood project and three others was provided through a Union of BC Municipalities program.

The regional district and Columbia Basin Trust also chipped in.
