Trail Citizen of Year announced

The Trail Knights of Columbus have announced their Citizen of the Year.

He’s 90 year old Tom McEwan who has devoted over sixty years of volunteerism to the betterment of the community.

He and his wife moved here in 1951 thinking it was likely just for a few years.

McEwan spent 35 years with Teck.

He’s been an active member of a number of local committees and boards dealing with everything from health care to school projects and many sports clubs.

He’ll be formally honoured at an event next month.
