Kootenay-Monashee’s new MLA Steve Morissette has hit the ground running in 2025.
As well as stepping into his new title, Morissette has added a few more jobs to his belt, including joining the Pacific North West Economic region, the Treasury Board and his parliamentary secretary role within the rural development.
Closer to home, Morissette says his focus is on helping communities navigate the issues arising with the Glade Ferry.
“Hopefully we can get work through that and get a collective agreement for the folks there and keep that ferry running.”
Morissette will head to Prince George this week to join the rural conference and discuss hot topics facing municipal leaders in BC.
