The mayor of Castlegar isn’t worried about negative media coverage stemming from two recent incidents.
A man was killed in a police shooting and two local kids made a video called “How to kill your teacher.”
Lawrence Chernoff says it’s unfortunate but the city isn’t immune to these sorts of things.
Chernoff says the last fatal shooting in Castlegar was almost 15 years ago.
