Farmers can apply for funding through BC-wide program

Farmers can now apply for financial support through a BC-wide program.

The BC government says $2 million is available for the Buy BC Partnership program, an initiative focused on supporting producers, processors, and associations in their efforts to improve food security and sales.

Along with the support, the money will also be used to help local food and beverage companies with sharing their stories to others across the province.

Minister of Agriculture and Food Lana Popham says through this program, they aim to continue raising awareness of food products, while also strengthening local food systems.

Applications for this funding are open from today to January 27.
